Cure All: A briefing on the status of the most promising new TB drugs research
- March 19, Washington DC

[Short notice for the core E-druggers, but posted as information and in case
you happen to be in the neighbourhood. Moderator]

The Critical Path to TB Drug Regimens (CPTR) initiative invites you to attend a
briefing that will discuss new momentum in the fight against tuberculosis. The
event comes at a historic moment, with a wave of innovative TB research that is
poised to make an impact on the disease, which kills 1.4 million people each
year and is growing increasingly resistant to today's available therapies. The
event will focus on novel treatments being tested in a new paradigm that can
dramatically reduce the time it takes to get from pipeline to patient-from
decades to just a few years.

Join us in advance of World TB Day to hear a high-level panel of experts,
including Dr. Anthony Fauci, the longtime director of the National Institute of
Allergy and Infectious Diseases, senior US policymakers, researchers, and TB
Alliance leaders as they reveal some of the most promising new TB research
initiatives, the state of the global health budget, and the importance of US
support for the development of new tools to combat tuberculosis.
