[e-drug] GlaxoSmithKline pledges cheap medicine for world's poor (2)

E-DRUG: GlaxoSmithKline pledges cheap medicine for world's poor (2)
-----------------------------------------------------

Hi,

Differential pricing of medicines has been proposed for poor since
long by the activists. It is because of the poverty that medicines
which are avaialble in the world become unaffordable to those who
need these most. The humanity continues to suffer and we continue
doing lip service.

If only GSK means what is said in this post, it will usher in a socially
concerned pharmaceutical era. It remains to be seen how much truth is behind
this news or it is another promotional effort. Sorry for airing doubts because
of the sad experience from pharmaceutical industry in exploitation of the
marginalised.
