E-DRUG: Vacancy: Public Citizen's drug newsletter researcher/writer

Worst Pills, Best Pills News is a monthly print publication and is also one 
component of a web site, worstpills.org. run by Public Citizen's Health 
Research Group in Washington, DC, USA. The print version of the newsletter has 
a circulation of approximately 170,000. Each issue of the newsletter contains 
eight pages and articles include reviews of newly approved drugs, updates and 
warnings on previously approved drugs, and general items concerning 
prescription drugs. These articles are drawn from published medical journal 
articles, government drug regulatory websites and other sources.  Worst Pills, 
Best Pills News is the only drug newsletter specifically for patients in the 
world. 
It is edited by Sidney M. Wolfe, MD, Director of Public Citizen's Health 
Research Group. 

The researcher/writer must have a degree in pharmacy, medicine or pharmacology. 
In addition, he or she needs to be familiar with the FDA's regulation of drugs, 
be able to write accurately and clearly for a consumer audience, and have a 
written record of advocacy on behalf of patients. 

The job will require about 30 hours per month. Job candidates do not have to 
live in Washington DC.
