Namibia 2000 HIV Sentinel Sero-Survey available for download
------------------------------------------------------------

Namibia has been performing an HIV Sero-survey biannually since 1992.
The report on the most recent survey, undertaken in late 2000, is
available for download from the Namibia Ministry of Health and Social
Services Web site for those who may be interested in seeing/using it.
The report - as a ZIPped MS Word file and as a PDF file - and ZIPped
Excel spreadsheets that include the data and the charts that are in-
cluded in the report - are all available for download.

The survey was undertaken by the Namibia AIDS Coordination Programme
with support from the European Commission.

Much of the data is shown in the 12 page report in time series, so,
although there have been changes and additions to the sentinel sites,
and some of the data is not strictly comparable over all the years,
the report presents an accurate and interesting picture of the emerg-
ing HIV/AIDS epidemic in Namibia.

With a week or two a report on the findings and projections made by a
Namibia MoHSS task force for modelling the nation's HIV/AIDS epidemic
will also be available.

The data download page, which includes the 2000 HIV Sentinel-sero
Survey document and data files is:
