RFI: Serotype of V. cholerae in South Africa (2)
------------------------------------------------

Yamada,

The serotype for toxigenic V. Cholerae 01, bio-type El Tor, most com-
monly found in South America (and occasionally in the Gulf Coast of
the US) is INABA.

Both INABA and OGAWA have been found to be common in Southern and
Central Africa.

I hope this helps.
